Yet another Shock Thread. . . .

Im still [passively] looking to replace my shocks.

Here are my options [prices for all 4 shipped]:

OEM $100
KYB Gas-A-Just $190
KYB Monomax $252
Bilstein HDs $280

Other Options
Monroe Sensa-trac
Rancho's
Something else?

Ok, so here's the deal. I want to replace my shocks, but I dont need top-o-the-line stuff. Im strongly debating OEM at almost half the price of the next cheaper option. I dont off-road. I do tow small trailers on occasion.
I would like to have a smoother less jittery ride, and wouldnt mind a little better handling to boot.

What do you guys think?

Ebay.
I see the stock shocks there all the time. Usually with just the first couple thousand miles on them.

I would go with something other than OEM's if you are looking for better ride. aftermarket shocks make a world of difference. I would say the KYB's but that's me. of course, I have all OME stuff.

When I got my runner it had KYB Gas-A-Justs on it. They were pretty good. I liked them anyways. Much better than stock. I've heard a lot of good things about Bil's, but with any upgraded shock you aren't going to ride like a Lexus LS-it's still a truck.

I realize it's a truck, no matter what shocks I put on. Im just a little tired of how if you hit a washboard type surface it gets hard to control and seems to want to jump sideways off the road.
Since Im not offroading it, a nice(r) ride would be preferrable. Thats all.

Go for the KYB's. They were great for me. If you really wanna shell out some cash, get the Bils...they are supposedly AWESOME!

Which KYB's? The Monomax, or the Gas-a-just?
