XM radio prople or radio installers

My connection diagram says I need to attach one wire to "a terminal always supplied with power regardless of ignition switch position." Can anyone help me out here with a suggestion of where I should attach this wire? Thank you.

under your dash, there should be two labelled connection points, one labelled 12V, one labelled ignition. The 12V one should be what you want.

At least that was what was on my '97. It was right in front of the steering column once you removed that panel...

For my Sirius system, I ran the wire directly to the battery.

I was thinking of tapping into the supply wire for the radio. This is so your presets aren't lost everytime.

All of the above would work just fine!

(make sure you get the right power line to the radio; it uses both the 12v and the ignition on different wires).

What I did was to add two fuse boxes in the engine bay, one always hot, one on the ignition, but if you aren't adding several things, that's an unnecessary pain in the hindquarters...

when you take out the radio....the wire that is 12v all the time is the blue/yellow--- or to the ignition switch, its solid white. use a t-tap or something so that you dont lose the coding on the radio and have to unlock it if you cut the wire.

I have an aftermarket radio & wiring harness form Crutchfield. I just called them up and they told me which color wire is which.
Yellow - constant power
Red - switched power
