Or just completely remove the bottom altogether like a friend of his did. If I were doing it I would be a bit more agressive with the hole drilling......remember we want max air flow.

Been running it like that for 2 and a half years with still no problems. Then again, I don't hit mud holes at 60 mph either.
Cebby, I consider what I did the equivalent of the FIPK. I really don't see how an FIPK could be any better. Except maybe a little "ram air" from having the filter faced forward. But I doubt that accounts for much of anything.
