These projectors are Bi Xenon, which means they utilize Low and Hi beams into one unite. Inside the projector is a small sheald, which gives you LOW beam, when HI beam is activated this sheald moves Down with assistant of a solenoid, and this creates HI beam pattern. Most of the current cars such BMW 3,5,7 series have Bi-xenon, Mercedes, Cadillacs and many other.

All After market kits are Illegal Now, They produce so much glare and people started to complain about it. So Government made all manufactures of these kits to stop selling them. I believe that the only way to get Xenon/HID is to use OEM equipment (Projectors, bulbs and ballast), this way you don't get flash from on coming traffic.

You have painted your housing black, does leaving the reflector housing in stock form product so much glare? I would think not since 99+ lights have clear glass ? After retrofitting mine with H4 adapter kit, Although it's bright enough, I see some hot spots and I started to wonder about a projector retrofitting(I somehow saw this thing coming but chose to ignored it). I really want to keep it in as stock form as possible

The BMW Xeon's might work, but you'll probably never get them aligned right. You really need something with height or else every driver on both sides of the highway will pull over and beat you to death.
