would these tires work

I have now on my 02 4runner 265/75/16 that are getting to the point of needing replaced. I want to put on 285's but am going to wait until I lift the truck. My uncle has some 245/75/16 tires that have less that 10000 miles on them from his 06 GMC seirra 2500. How bad would it be to use these for about a year until I can get what I want?

It wouldn't be bad at all. 245/75 is only about an inch smaller in height and width.

they are 1.18" smaller in overall diameter, and about .78" skinnier... I don't see why it wouldnt be an issue... just going a little smaller if that is alright with you

good call on waiting until you lift the truck... you may need different wheels for the 285's too... read around on the forums for more info

They should work fine...that's what came stock on my 04 Sequoia. They are smaller so you might be driving slower than what your speedo says, but not by much.
