Would a 4 runner hitch fit my 88 pickup..
Hey guys, Ive been looking for a class 3 hich for my 88 on Ebay and have found a hand full from 90-95 4 runners.. Im not sure if they would fit my frame or not. Can anyone tell me what year hitch would fit my 88, or if a hitch from any other rig would bolt up to mine? A local bone yard has one that I could weld on but I would really rather bolt it on. Thanks again.........

From what i can tell, the 2nd gen 4 runner hitch will not fit the 88 PU. Do a google search for "trailer hitch," which should generate several sources. Pick one, use their database to find your hitch of choice (Reese, Hidden, Putnam....) and the model number. Then do that for the 90-95 4runner hitch and you'll see they are different. How different, I'm not sure, but it will probably rule out the straight forward bolt-on approach.
You might be able to find other years/models that will match your needs.
