working on the rust



i love cutting things up

but hopefully tomorrow ill get some new sheet metal and start on working on some ideas. im mostly thinking about something new and different then anyone has done, but if i dont think of ne thing ill just fix it back to stock looking

looks like alot of work, did u try to just grind off the rusted parts b4 cutting? i used to think body work was fun, but i got tired of sanding.

lol the rust ate through the whole fender

Fenders are dirt cheap. (Unless you get fiberglass) I payed under 100 Canadian for both fenders on a 91

I'd just buy new ones.

I saw a pic someplace of a toy fiberglass hood for a '90-'95 with a 3rd gen. runner scoop molded into it and now I can't find the site, so I figured while we were on the subject of fiberglass, I'd ask.

I would opt for replacement fenders too. You might be able to even find the same color from a junk yard try www.car-part.com check your area.

cool i found me some fenders off that site, the price for both equals out to 80dollars, how odd, i get 80dolllars this coming sunday, ill post pics when i get em.

atleast i had fun cutting some sheet metal

while the fender is off, i say coat the insides with a rust preventative or undercoating type paint
