Wiring Lights

I recently bought fog lights and I have one question about wiring them. The directions say to splice one wire coming off the switch to a switched power source like the dash light. I have no idea what wire that might be under the dash. Also, is this really necessary, because I didnt have to do it to the others. The yota I have is a 91 3.slow. Any help would be appreciated.

Look in the Tech section for my write-up on wiring up lights.
That should shed some light on the subject :xmas5:

That wire they are telling you to use is the "energizer" wire to switch on the relay.

You can wire them up many ways, but I have found the method I use is tried & true, and works best for me.

I have all 3 sets of lights wired up this way.
