Will these work?
I just done installing 2 D-Ring shackels on my TJM and thought i'd ask you guys if this setup looks like they would do the trick. Right now I cant get the shackel mounts welded to my frame but got the idea to mount them directly to the tow points on my TJM. Anyways, let me know what you guys think, questions, comments...

That part of the TJM is definitely not strong enough to hold, it might be ok for a straight on pull but those tabs will bend all over the place if you need to be at a slight angle. Perhaps if you reinforced the entire plate section you could. PM Steve Schaeffer of Sonoran Steel, he did this to his so I geuss you could ask him how they hold up. I have been looking for a good option to get shackles on the front of my TJM, but I haven't run across anything I really like.

Alright thanks guys, i think the shackels themselves are rated at 2 tons each...but i get what your saying about the TJM mounts...If i were to put any strain on them i'd make sure it were strait on. Not from the side or they would definately torque. Also, If i became stuck or was pulling someone out, i'd use the factory tow hook mounts on my frame, not the shackels...I'd use the shackels for other minor thing like pulling logs and random odd jobs.
