Wild Country TXR/Clinometer/compressor

Today was a good day for a change. My Clinometer/Altimiter came in this morning, then the phone rang and the guy I ordered my tires from said they came in two days early and If I could be there at 2:00 he would put them on today. Got my 265/75/16R= 31" Wild Country TXR tires. When I got home my wife said that DHL delievered my 12 volt compressor!
Bought the Clinometer gauges from a guy in Cleveland and they are in perfect shape! Replaced the bulbs just to be safe but painted them red first so they match the other lights and gauges in my 01 Tacoma. Got everything ready to mount tomorrow.
The tires are great! Drove them about 65 miles and they are so smooth I thought I was in the wrong truck,Lol. For a tread so agressive they sure are smooth and quiet. They did a perfect balance on them. I could let go of the wheel doing 75 and it stayed perfectly straight on the freeway.
Haven't had much of a chance to play with the compressor but I'll check it out in the morning. Lots to do now and it's all "good stuff"! Mike

beartracker,

you'd be better off buying light bulb condoms than painting them. hte paint will wear off after time.

Hill. I'll get a pic today and post it here. They really are a great looking tire and I got the 6 ply rating. 4 tires mounted , balanced and installed for $530.00 out the door. They are rated for something like 50,000 miles but for the places I go I will be happy if I get 30,000. Mike

Bob, Do they make condoms for bulbs that small? Who has them if they do? I tried several auto parts stores around here but they all think I'm nut's, Mike

Damn, thats a good price. I got a quote for TXR's in 265/70/17 and it was $787 out the door. I will wait til winter gets closer.

Here is my Nissan Inclinometers/ Altimiter/ baromiter that I got for $55.00 including shipping. In this pic the glass looks scratched but it's really in perfect shape. Works great too! [IMG][/IMG]
