where to get brass bar?
I just got my Aisin Manual Hubs Where can I get one of those brass bars to get the famous cone wahers off. I looked at Home depot and autozone. Would they be in the tool section? Hmm I bet my girl has something brass around here I could use. better not!! I think I'll repack the bearings and do the front brakes while Im at it

No brass bar required.
You don't need a brass bar to get the cone washers off.
Here's what you do:
1. Soak the nuts and cone washers with PB Blaster.
2. Unscrew the nuts but don't remove them.
3. Tap/hit the side of the of the ADD hub (where the cone washer is) with a hammer until the cone washer pops out.
4. Remove the nut and washer.
5. Repeat until all washers have been removed.
Very simple to do and no brass bar is required.
Make sure you rebuild you hubs before you install them. When I got mine, I could barely turn the dial.
Have Fun

I just used a small flat head screw driver, ones size bigger than an eyeglass driver. Put it on the grinder to give it a point and tapped it right in to the gap. Popped off like a charm.
