Discussing gas mileage is an on going thing here and I would like to clear up one thing. We all live all over this country and the terrain can be as different as night and day so comparing gas mileage may not be very Fair or accurate.
The area I live in is all mountain and hill driving. I can go to the store without crossing two mountains and I live on top of one. Driving "off road" to me is not rock climbing but it can be no worse than my highways other than mud and water crossings and some bad straight down drops.Lol.
The people who live in Kansas will be lucky to see any mountain driving and there gas mileage should be much better than mine! The people who live in the western mountains or the rockies should get worse mileage than me so how can we all compare our gas mileage to each others the way we do?
Around here I get 18-19 and that includes hauling about 400 extra pounds in tools and myself and that includes off road driving. If I'm on the expressway and in a fairly flat place I can get 21-22 from my 2.7 Tacoma.
