What oil filter relocation kit?
Is this the correct oil filter relocation kit? After searching and reading Bob's post, he didn't talk about the part number of the kit he bought.

The part number is PRM-10695
Or is there another kit that people are using? I don't really want to spend the money on an amsoil kit.
Thanks for your help

2000,
i bought mine used from someone who bought it from PP.
there are quite a few threads about various filter relocator kits. trust me, i know iirc, one or two of them have the exact part numbers you need.

I'm considering relocating my filter too. But where do these kits typically place the new filter? How much is oil capacity increased? I hate having a half litre leftover.

I purchase mine from PP but have not installed it yet. The oil line they shipped doesn't look very sturdy. I'd like something that a stray rock or minor chafing won't puncture.

Bob,
I searched with every combo that I could think of and could not find a part number that was needed. The reason that I would like to get a part number that has been used in the past, is because I tried to relocate my oil filter on my accord and the kit that I was told that would fit leaked like a mad man.

I had that kit on my E30 M3. It has adapters to work with 99.9% of the cars out there.
how much does the oil capacity increase? Find out the volume of a 1/2 I.D X 1 inch cylinder is then multiply that by the number of inches your hoses run.
where to mount it? where ever you find a nice spot that is easy to remove the filter. I think it would be stupid to put a oil filter relocation kit in a car simply to make changing the oil easier then put it in a spot that is a PITA to get to.
If I could find all the little adapter parts left over from my E30 M3, I would put it on the 4 runner, but I cannot and a new kit is only $35 so maybe some day I'll buy another one

I have one and i had it installed inside the wheel well, had to take it off. The seal on the adapter plate sprung a leak. It added 2 more QTs to the system. i got mine through Perma-cool.

The only thing I ran into is how to mount the kit, so I am looking into getting some 90's and stainless lines from EARLS to make the install better, because the filter this kit uses is huge (Motorcraft FL1A ) I origanaly had it mounted in the fire well but I want to put it inside the engine compartment next to the radiator.
