What Fuel do you use?

This is mainly for guys with Supercharges trying to not blow their engines. Stupid stock fuel system... My first tank with the S/C was amaco and it ran fine til the computer started to figure stuff out, then here was a pretty bad ping at medium load at 2500rpm. I then put chevron in and haven't *heard* any pinging since. My question to you guys, is what fuel do you have the best luck with?

Thanks!

Higest pump octane available. 93 octane at low elevations and 91 octane at high elevations.

well, I kind-of thought that was a given. You have to use premium, but the quality varies from company to company.

Actaully all gas is the same. That is, it all comes from the same main supply line. The difference is in the additives each company uses.
I stay away from all elcheapo stations-premium or not. When up north Sunoco is some good petrol, but usually i run BP(used to be Amoco), Exxon or Shell.
Another thing, when in town I try to fill up at the same BP station. The thought is I am taking out some variables (i.e. different companies, pumps, location)

I'm not SC'd but with my intake mods I do notice a big difference in gas qualities. I get the best results with chevron. My runner runs like crap with cheap gas.

Sorry, I didn't really understand what you wanted with your first post. I have to agree totally with FilthyRich. I try to stick with a few gas stations in the area, and always try to buy the perceived better brands (for the better additives.) Also, if I have to purchase a cheaper brand of fuel, I'll try to find a brand with the lowest ethanol level.
