Looks great Alan. Now let's get some high temp black paint on that exhaust.

I didn't prep it, I just sprayed it . I used a piece of cardboard to keep the overspray under control. When I paint the frame I will clean it first, then possibly sand it lightly. I'll tape off what needs to be taped, then with a quality spray paint I will put a coat of primer on and let it dry. Then I'll put 3-4 coats of paint on it, followed by a nice clear coat to help protect it.

Believe it or not, you can get nice and long lasting results from spray paint if it's done the right way.

I love the way the 1st gens look in gray. That's just an awesome color - ESPECIALLY when you have it in as good condition as that.
You can imagine how much drooling I did over Poboys rig when he first posted it

Guess you can call me "mini me"

I like the stance with the 33's.
Hopefully when my rig grows up it will look like yours

thanks for all the great and kind words guys. I would ahve gone withthe black rims with the fake bead lock and black tires out if my rig wasn't gray but black or white. i just like the chrome look with the white out better for my rig. and it was cheaper b/c the wheels were only like 60 bucks apiece. i don't know how it's been so rust free. i guess i should ask my pop's b/c he got it new in 88 and then i got it a few years back but i've tried to keep it clean too. as for the stickers, when i get some time i'm takin them all off.
well thanks for all the good words again fellas,
alan
