What is this box in my engine bay?
Hey guys. This box makes an air noise (let's be honest, it sounds like a fart) every 5 seconds or so after I shut off my '96 Tacoma. If I pull off the circled line it stops. The line just goes down into the frame rail below and I cant follow it past that. What is this? Some sort of vacuum box?
I am trying to figure out why the truck is only blowing luke warm air out at best, I flushed the heater core and not much improvement. Wondering if this has anything to do with that...
96 Tacoma 2.7L 5spd
Thanks for any input!

Right...charcoal can. Why do you think its making an air noise every 5 secs after the truck is off?? Weve had this truck in the fam for years and I don't recall every hearing it before...

Ok will do. just disconnect them at both ends and blow air through?
I cant even see where the suspect line goes to...it just goes into the drivers frame rail. Ill try to have a better look tonight.
THanks!
