Weight of OEM 16" Wheels

Does anyone know the weight of the 3rd generation split three-spoke OEM 16"x7" wheel? If someone has one, could they weigh it (without the tire of course)?

They came in both 15" and 16". I am specifically asking about the 16"x7".

I can't give you an exact figure, but they are surprisingly light. I am going to guess 15-18 lbs based on what I "felt" when lifting them into my 4Runner a while back.

I'm gonna guess a little closer to 25lbs each. When I sold my 15" alloys, two in a box with packing peanuts weight 50lbs on the ups scale, so mine had to be a little under 25 a peice. the 16's should be a little heavier I'd think.

Yeah, I could be wrong. Maybe it's just my Arnold-like strength!

When I sold my Taco 16's (the swirled star type) they were 18 pounds each.

18 pounds is right on the money. I bought a set off ebay and they were shipped UPS to me, of course my steel rims are in the boxes for storage. I just looked at the sticker on one of the boxes and it says 18 pounds. The rims came in a box with no packaging, just some paper to prevent scratches, so the rim itself is real close to 18 lbs., maybe 17.5 and 1/2 a pound for the box. And these are the exact rims you mentioned, 16x7 3 spoke SR5 alloys.

pat161,

Thanks for the weight confirmation. I want to make sure that should my accountant (a.k.a my wife) approves a new set of wheels, they are no heavier than the OEM wheels. I'm already rotating more mass with the 285's.
