Warn M8000, Hella Rallye 4000, 1" body lift = pics

been a while since i posted pics, heres the latest:

1) 1" Roger Brown body lift. install took about 4 hours to install the blocks and steering spacer and adjust spare tire winch. the TJM bumper took some adjusting, just had to adjust some of the 8 big bolts where the bumper attaches to the brackets. the sliders made it kind of difficult to lift the body, but the spacing b/w the body and sliders is a lot better looking now.

total cost = $109 (roger brown)

2) Hella Rallye 4000 Euro Beams. i got the Hella wiring harness, made it easy to install them. i spliced the corner lights for the hot wire of the relay, so the hellas wont come on unless the corner lights are on. Euro beams are great, they turn night into day.

2 brand new lights, Hella harness = $150 (Pirate4x4)
2 clear covers = $20 (4x4connection)

3) Warn M8000 winch. install was pretty difficult b/c i did it by myself. it was a pain to rotate the gear housing and to wire and mount the solenoid, but its all good now. got Amsteel synthetic rope 5/16" x 100' with a heavy duty clevis slip hook and aluminum hawse fairlead.

Warn M8000 = $509 (4WP.com)
Rope and fairlead = $185 (louisvilleoffroad.com)

4) Winch accessory kit. made my own from northern tool: 2 3/4" shackles, tree saver strap, snatch block, leather gloves, camo tote.

total = $53

TOTAL FOR ALL = $1026

took everything out on the trail today for testing, everything passed with flying colors. i winched myself from a tree along a level road just to get the hang of it.

Got flex?

Just by looking at the pics, you can tell you have been real busy lately. You have one real sweet rig going there.

Looking good R! I want a body lift toooo

Shes ready for those rims youve been looking at!! Or did the money for those go towards the winch and stuff? Also, how did you mount your FireStik? I have been pondering the idea of a snorkel which would require me to remove my retractable antenna. Now, instead doing the whip mod I figured I could be new and different and use the FireStik FM antenna. That was one of the reasons why I mounted the CB one on the rear bumper. It looks like you drilled into the TJM, is that what you did? Do you have a quick release or a spring? Does it hit the truck at all?

On a side note, I have not forgotten about the $20, it will go in the mail tomorrow I promise the check is already written and I have to send my rent anyway.

1. RT, that looks SAWEEEET! great job! after you get the lift done, and the bumper back on it feels sweet doesn't it??

what kind of battery are you running to power the winch/ lights?

2. TurboAle, you won't lose the use of your antenna, it will just be angled in slightly. take a look at my thread... I just snorkeled my rig. (2000 sr5) just do a search for the word "snorkeled". I would do it, but I'm lazy and tired! haha

Talking Sweet!!!

Damn, that ride looks good. Do you do all the work yourself or do you have someone in Athens do it?? I just moved to Greenwood(70 miles east) and might need a good mechanic. I can change my oil but that's about it.

Hey RT,

Lookin' good! BTW- Why did you rotate the gear housing on the winch? To put the spool release lever on the downside?

Looking good! HOWEVER, that truck is begging for guy wires, guide wires, limb raisers, or whatever you want to call them. GET SOME!
