Xantrex 1000 watt Inverter, $69
Another current CostCo item is a 1000/2000 watt inverter from Xantrex:

$69. I didn't pick one up today, but after a quick wandering of the 'net for price/performance reassurance, I will tomorrow!

*** UPDATE ***
An update...
The power inverter at CostCo isn't from Vector, it's this one:
http://www.xantrex.com/products/product.asp?did=601
The specs are very much the same... 1000 watt continuous, 2000 watt surge. Thermal, overload, and over/under voltage protection. 90% efficient, no-load draw of < 300ma.
I have it at home now, and I'm VERY happy.
