Valve cover gasket question

I changed them and only used the gasket when reassembling. I didn't use RTV anywhere. Was I supposed to use it on the halfmoons or in the corners?

Both. On the seam of the half moon and in the corners per the FSM.

Ok thanks. Luckily I haven't set the intake back down yet so can get to them. Do I apply it on top of the gasket or on bottom?

The RTV/FIGP gets applied directly to the cleaned head surface. There are threads around here that show a picture of the exact locations.
