3.4L sc
What is everyone being quoted on these across the nation? Let me know where you are from and from what dealer the quote is coming from.

Whats the 7th Injector for, I thought the V8 SC was fine and wouldn't it need a 9th injector or is the 7th for the 3.4L V6
Since you work at a Dealer TOR, whats your opinion on someone like myself ordering the SC and then bringing it into my dealer and saying I already have it can you install it

Ok, to clear this up this was for the 3.4L 7th injector that was just released by TRD. TRD has had the 9th injector built into their V8 SCs for a while now.
As for bringing your own SC to the dealer it is kind of like showing up at your local steak house with your own stake. They will do it but you will PAY for it. If you are going to purchase it yourself then find someone that has done a few or knows how to do it and save the money. I know at our dealership we won't do it at all, either you user our parts or you do it yourself. I am not saying personally I agree with this but it does seem to be the consistent attitude throughout most dealerships.
As for the new V6s in the 03 4-Runners, I have spoken with one of my contacts at TRD and they have no plans to develop another V6 SC for the new engine. I will let you know if that changes anytime soon.

I always bring genuine parts, sealed and wrapped, to a different dealer than I get them from for install.
For example, Bell Honda has awesome prices, but more expensive labor. After I get the part(s) I then call and get a quote at Right Honda, - the part cost.
I always come out ahead. I dont see how a dealer can refuse to install a genuine part. That's just wrong.
(Not singling your dealership out Todd, just making a general observation)

No problem Christian, out of the dealerships that I talk to, none will do it that way. It is taking money out of their pockets and they don't approve, nor do their technicians. The latter part of it is why I wouldn't do it. Plus when there is a question of if someone should good will something or if they could warranty a part or service you can kiss that bye bye. I am surprised that you can find a place or two that will actually do it with as bad as things are with the economy. Makes no difference to me as I only pay for labor and parts in beer and weekends people don't want to work, LOL!
