V6 cam seals
Hi everyone!
A week ago I went through the timing belt job on our 4Runner and noticed that the passenger side cam seal was leaking. After I removed both seals there was noticeably more oil behind the passenger side one than the driver side, which I guess might explain why the passenger side started leaking. My question is why would there be more oil on the passenger side, is that normal?
Thanks!

Probably... Although it should be a symmetric V motor at least as far as oil distribution goes, right?
Also there is oily residue covered by road dirt only on the passenger side valve cover. Could it be that the oil came from the cam seal and then blown over the valve cover by the fan/wind? Or where else could it come from? If the valve cover seal would leak, the oil wouldn't go up, right?

When my side valve cover was leaking, and I went down a dirt road or such, my PCV valve was covered in dirt. My half moon on the passenger side cylinder head was leaking as well.
