US Navy Chooses 4Runner
Folks,
All right, technically it's a HILUX Surf, but the US Navy here has purchased four 2004 models.
This is the first one of the four my command is getting. The Commanding Officer immediately made the first one his official vehicle.
Pretty cool! I was told he went to a meeting at another base and everyone wanted to know who's vehicle it was and were all awestruck. He's the envy of all the Colonels and Navy Captains here. Probably the Generals as well.

So now is everyone going to think you're a CO too?

Edit: That front shot is probably flattering because of that Eagle and placard in the windshield.

Hey Woody.
Nice pics. I wonder if they're all going to be white?
How about XReas , I'm sure the CO would appreciate having it when traveling between bases.
I'm guessin' it does with the SSR-X on the back!

It appears that the drivers side of the vehicle is on the RIGHT. Correct?? If so do you have a web address for your local dealer? Been thinking of trying to get a right side drivers seat to replace the US version passenger seat in the Sport model. Would like that seat to be height adjustable and have lumbar support also.
Thanks
Tom
Thanks

Doug- All the Navy ones will be white. And those are the side marker/blinkers. I think there are lots of threads about installing them.
The mirror looks across the front bumper and down the left edge of the tires.
MrTom- You can't order anything from the dealers web site plus it's all in Japanese. You'd be much better off trying to get someone in the states, maybe Jason B, to check for you.
Timber- I think Jason B can get you the HILUX badges as well.
