Upper A Arm lift question

Another newb style question.

When you look at the info for the ATS / Inland / Total Chaos upper control arms they talk about yielding lift.

How exactly do they yield lift? Is it merely because in order to use them you've added different shocks/struts?

Please enlighten me.

That's where my confusion lies. My understanding is that these upper A Arm changes yield more possible articulation, but not lift.

Is that a correct statement?

So I called NWOR for a price quote for some of these Total Chaos Upper A arms and I was blown away...$650! Fabtech has a two wheel drive lift kit that has the upper a arms and the whole kit is like $400. What gives?

Plus the inland ones are like $379. Perhaps it's just a more proven galmorous named company.

North Face vs REI

The TC has a uniball instead of an upper ball joint, so thats prob why its a lot more.
