Upgrade to a bigger stock radiator

I have a 1993 Toyota 22re pickup with a stock radiator. I heard you can upgrade to a bigger and better stock radiator from a V6 Toyota...Is this true? What is all involved and what Toyota is the donor?

I dont know about a V6 radiator, but I ordered a 3 or 4 row (crwo) heavy duty radiator for my 94 4x4 auto for towing a boat and trailer and my truck hardly ever goes past 1/4 of the way. It will go slighty above 1/4, if I have been towing the boat and running A/C and I have to set in traffic for awhile in the 100 degree heat. I ordered mine from radiators.com it is all metal (alum i think), no plastic, has lifetime warranty and I only paid 99+10 s/h. It has been in the truck now for over 3 years and no problems yet! just my .02

i know the v6 will drop in, it is a bit thicker has an extra core, and cost $40 more. I dunno if you really need it, the stock one keeps my truck cool in the summer, in traffic, and without the electric fan needing to come on but a few times in heavy traffic.

* if you are having cooling problems then you might wana check out the system, my radiator was nearly 3/4 pluged up when i got my last truck and it only got warm sometimes.

he might need it if he has a body lift. when i got my truck it came with a 3 in body lift and the guy said that since the body blocked the radiator a bit he modified his radiator. i cant remeber exactly what he did but i think it was like he added some layers or something i didnt quite understand what he was saying, it being my first truck not knowing much about anything and all.

yeh i dont think the guy did a very good job on the body lift. i think he only put the body pucks on. like there was no steering column puck or anything done to the radiator as far as the place of it. nothing.

My truck is completly stock but I live in a hot area and do alot of driving in traffic. I think it can't hurt to upgrade and if its not that much $$ why not.

So, where do I go about getting this radiator? Brand new or junkyard? Auto parts store or Toyota dealer? Part # or what V6 toyota radiator do I look for?
