I am beginning to dismantle the interior. It seems to be going well. Did the right side and some of the rear. It seems pretty easy so far. It's warm/hot and muggy here, plus I'm a lil tired. I broke 1 part so far on the right rear panel, there was a hook behind the little compartment that I didn't know was there and I snapped it off. I looked behind after and saw no way to get it off without breaking it. I'll have to look closer though for the next panel.
I think the 180 Sq. Ft. may not be enough.
Plus there is already some of this sound deadener in the front. Have yet to look in the rear. I need some to keep me going.
Just a lousy, making no sense post to update you guys if you care.
There is about 90-100 lbs of of this with the carpet pad. Looks like I'll be back to the stock H.P. with all this extra weight.

She's nakey. Went pretty smoothly except for the headliner. That was a little tricky with just one person. I gutted it all with a leatherman as my only tool (besides sockets)
I tried to get the grab handles off of the a-pillar, and those sumbiznotches top screws were like welded in there or something. I couldn't budge them. I started to round them out so I stopped. I just bent the molding on the a-piller a little and nursed the headliner out. Tomorrow I will begin the installation and rebuild it.
I think I forgot to mention this in the last post so I will mention it now/again.
There is already a decent amount of the sound suppression in the front part of the truck. Some place have one layer some two and others three layers.

All done. A few snapped clips and a 4' split in the left rear panel, but it's done. Took her out for a spin and I did notice a difference. I don't hear the exhaust anywhere nearly as loud as it was, and the S/C whine is so prominent now .
I did 3 layers of the thicker material in the middle of the roof just behind the sunroof, and 2 for the rest.
4 or 5 layers on my rear wheel wells, I forget.
2 layers on the floor with extra padding on the bottom. This was why my panels were a PITA to get back on. A little too much and they were getting caught on the carpet.
5 sheets on each front door. 3 on the rears.
A bunch of butchered pieces in the rear door and rear quater panels. Had to cut to fit and all scraps when in the quater panels. 1 layer on the floor, I should have done more, but I didn't think I would have enough, plus I need some for when I get some masonite it the holes in the doors. I did and extra sheet right under the driver and passenger foot area.
I still have 2 of the thicker sheets left and 4 or 5 of the smaller thinner sheets.
Hit the body and it sounds so much more soild.

Good luck. I've been doing this for 3 days, taking my time. My fingers have all these nice little cuts and the skin is rubbed raw. It hurts to use a lighter and type. Everytime I hit a key, it feels like they are hot.
I didn't mess with the dash/firewall for the sole reason that I know it would never go back on right and would most likely rattle afterwards.
I love that "louder" whine though.

Yeah i have no choice though. I could see not wanting to touch a 2002's dash. I got my 85 4runner for $600 bucks with a extra set of 33's so it's worth it to go crazy to make it efi and make it a reliable driver.
