Unhappy Trucks dead

So my trucks dead and when i try and start it, it blows EFI fuses. I have searched the yota forums and have tryed just about every test that i can manage and i still havent found the problem. I think its possibly the fuel pump but i my manuel doesnt have the resistence for it listed... does anyone know the proper resistence for an 88?

Thanks,
Andy

I remembered one day, My friend 1986 Toyota corolla, it died on the freeway, it wouldnt start we assumed it didnt had gas but it turned out to be the fuel pump. What ive experienced the 2 things to crap out is the fuel pump or igniter. If it is the fuel pump change the fuel filter while your at it.

unplug the pump and see if it still blows fuses, if not, then its your pump, if it still blows, then its something else

The fuses dont blow until i start the truck... so how can i unplug the fuel pump and still start the truck?... do i just let it run with whatever is in the line until its dry?

Why dont you slowly loosen one of the bolts that goes to the fuel rail and check if fuel sprays out. If it gushes out the fuel pump is fine if it doesnt well than its dead. To prevent the fuse from blowing this time. Get a staple to complete the connection or a fine strand of wire to act as a fuse. I know doing the unbolt the fuel thing is a possible danger so i reccomend having a buddy along to oversee this operation! GOOD LUCK
