I'm not hearing the same pressure being released from the tank when i open up the gas cap. yes i'm a noob, can you point me in the right direction????

Are you topping the tank off or stopping the fueling when the nozzle shuts off? The gasket on the fuel cap may be worn out.

No, biggie on a 0.10 round up..... I was referring to those folks who fill to overflow and then wonder why the tank can't vent properly, etc.

You can pull the hose off of the purge valve the next time this happens and see if its wet with fuel. If it is, evap system is suspect, but that would likely set a code. If there are no codes, and the hose is wet, you might be over-filling it. If the hose is dry, pretend to get gas and see if it does the same thing. Meaning, shut the truck off when warm, wait about however long it usually takes to get gas, then try to start it again.

How low are your letting your gas get befor your fill it up, i have seen people run it on E and when they get to the gas station and fill it up the system is so dry it stalls on the first start up unless you give it some gas to get it flowing again.
