Question TRD Ivan Stewart Wheels

I've been looking at the 16 x 8 Ivan Stewart wheels and about how good they would look on my dark blue Hilux. Now my question is, would a 2" BL be enough to clear those wheels with a set of 285/75 BFG AT/KO's or would I need a 1" suspension spacer as well? I drive mostly on road but do a little offroading as well. No rock crawling though. I am assuming the TRD wheels will fit the rig without problems. I have the stock 16"'s with the larger brakes.
If they suit, my biggest problem will be getting them over to Ireland without paying a fortune for shipping!!!!

Now before anyone says, I did use the search function, but didn't find out what I wanted to know....

Ciaran,

I have 16" x 8" rims with 285/75/16 MT/Rs and a 2" RB body lift and I rub ever so slightly on a full turn, sometimes! Nothing major at all. However, to go offroading like I want to do I am going up higher to get the wheel diamter a bit more out of the fender well and I am going to do some more fender well trimming. I would recommend you pound flat the pinch weld in the fender well as that is where I was rubbing. I don't think you will have to have the 1" spacer to run the 285s, but it would help you with some clearance. Start with the 2" BL and go from there and just see how it goes. I think it boils down to personal preference and how much rubbing you can live with!

My 0.02

Cheers Brian!

I am pricing up the stuff at the moment but one guy in the states said he won't ship the alloys to Ireland. So I have to keep looking.
I'll get the RB BL soon. And then see if I need the spacer's.

Any suggestions on getting a set of 5 TRD alloys and shipping to Ireland for a reasonable price

I have these wheels on my 97 runner with 275/70/16, I get no rubbing at all......however there is a problem with balancing them, i had them balanced 3 times and they still are not 100% perfect.....you can always find them on ebay....good luck.

Do you have any pics of your rig?
I have yet to see those wheels on a 4runner....

CMAR, I checked on your package delivery and 3 to 4 business days through UPS would be $1100 USD. Sorry man it isn't that I don't want to mess with you it is just tooo much for the price wheels.

Hi Todd,

Thanks for the price, What about using surface shipping for delivery. It would be slow, but should be a lot cheaper than air?
