Transmission Problem With The New Rig NEED SOME FEEDBACK PLEEAAAASE

This may not be a new thread, but i haven't been able to find an old one about it.

2004 sportedition with auto.

Driving either in a parking garage, or in traffic, when swithchin b/w 1st and 2nd the engine would rev to about 1500 rpms, then switch gears.

This isn't normal, is it?
