Back story:
Sold a 99 4runner auto trans and t-case to a friend to replace the the trans she cooked in her 01. Both should be 340F as they were both 3.4l 4x4 and had matching door stickers. Her mechanic is now noticing multiple differences.
What she has told me via her mechanic.
'99 has multiple wiring changes. Its 5" longer, so i said put her original tcase on. No go different spline count.
He says its labeled a 30-40le. Confusing me because they are both 4x4
Her '01 has a push button on the dash and a high low lever in the console.

I still have the 99 the trans came out of.
Would it be possible or an pption be swap all the 99 stuff in and just not use the buttons?

Is their any specs or info i can get you guys to get this thing identified so i know what i have? Let me know what you need. Really jammed up.
