Tranny wizards please

Alright.
99 2.7 5speed, 2wd, basically stock
Heres the problem
Im driving along today minding my buisness, kick it down to 2nd gear(or so i thought).
No grinding or anything I noticed after a second or two my foot on the gas wasn't helping anything.
after a couple times i realized its popping out of 2nd and 4th gear.
very random
Any ideas on what could be causing this

oh, 3 hours 35 mins till my 18th.

Another thought could be that the shifter bushings are worn out. I've heard of it in 1st and 3rd in pre tacos..

sounds like you broke your dads runner....
Is it shifting smoothly into the gear then popping out? How is the clutch?

I hate my life.
Yes, very smoothly, just after a few second it would pop out.
Clutch feels ok, no noticeable changes.

any ideas ?

Edit: This things only got 48,7xx miles, so its really seeming weird.

Oh and thank you, i love being able to buy my own cigs now.
and thanks for the previous and future help.

Called it, it was the shifter bushings.
not the syncros like i was thinking
My dad had the mechanic at the dealer ride in it and called it, said he would have it done in half an hour.
