TRAC OFF help

alright so i found the thread for the andy mod...but havnt really found what i was looking for.

i have one rocker switch in my 4runner which is "TRAC OFF"

well the traction control turns off until i reach 15 miles per hour, then it turns back on, automatically.

How can i get it to turn off and turn on when I want?

i take that it will just be rewiring the stock switch.

thanks,

chris

Is yours a 2WD? I know that in 2WD's, there is a stock TRAC OFF switch, but turns back on at 15MPH. I don't know enough about the system to know how to rewire the stock set up. I'm GUESSING that it would be quite simple to snip the speed sensor wire from the system, but I really don't know. Do you have access to the wire diagram?

no wire diagram. and yes, 2 wheel drive. it pisses me off cause when i go out to the desert my abs keeps on kickin in. i understand its fairly easy to pull the ABS fuse, but after the rains last weekend it sucked getting out to put the fuse back in for the ride home

If all you're trying to do is disable ABS, then wire a switch in the same line as your ABS fuse. turning the switch off / on would give you the same results as removing / re-installing the fuse.

if you have the truck in the other drive modes (2 or L or whatever), I dont think it'll kick on at 15mph... or at least it didn't for me.
