Toytec Coilover settling/sag now installed w/ pictures
I just ordered a set of ToyTec's coilovers with the 600 lb coils for my 2002 Runner. I do have an ARB front bumper, no winch as far as extra weight up front.
I wanted to find out how much these tend to sag over time so I know where
to set them. All I need is a 2.5" lift for my new 285/75/16 Dueler Revo 2's.
I have been running (since 2003) 1" PP progessive coils with Bilstein HD shocks on front which initially gave me almost 2.5" of lift. I have Downy 3.5" coils with Bilstein HD shocks in the rear. This combo works beautifully on the higway but sucks to be offroad....LOL!!!!
So, since I moved up to the 285 tires from 265/75/16 I decided it was time for a new suspension....

Thanks okie81 !! That's what I was looking for.... I haven't found many comments or reviews of the eibach coils used in their coilovers.

Once you find the height that you want, take measurements and write them down in your manual. This way if the coils settle some, you can adjust them back up to the same height. This Measure from the hub center to the wheel well lip. This measurement won't change with tire size, air pressure or wear.

That I know already since I have a lift. I just wanted to know if ToyTec assembles their Eibach/Bilstein coilovers with a certain lift or at 0".

No I didn't contact them. Just installed them.... as the Wabbit said, just put them on and see what you get.
Mine turned out to be ~ 2" lift after they were installed so they were adjusted for the 2.5" of lift that I wanted.
I still need to put the 5125's on the rear and adjust the driver's side front just a bit higher.

Finally got the rear shocks installed so took the pictures.
These pics were taken while the runner was on the lift so the CV boots look
really bad with the weight off the vehicle.
Passenger front:
Driver side front:
left rear shock adapter:
left rear shock installed;
And the profile....with the new 285/75/16 Revo 2's
I have quite a bit of rake but the runner was on an incline where I took the picture and made it look more severe. I do like the raked look - (hate saggy asses..on Women and Runners)
I adjusted the front coils to where I have 22.5" from the center of the hub to the fender. You can see how much more the drivers side was turned up compared to the passenger side to make the lift even on both sides. (full tank of gas)
Did anyone else have to crank the drivers side up that much more to get both sides even?????
According to Ben at Toytec I could crank them up to 23".
With the Downy 3.5" lift coils in the rear I have 23.75" on the drivers side rear and 23.5" on the passenger side rear. So, I'll wait till the 5125's settle a bit and remeasure.
FYI...This setup with the 5100 Bilsteins rides much better than the Bilstein HDs that I had on the Runner. It's a bit softer but I don't feel like I lost much control
as far as city/highway driving is concerned. Highly recommended if you make the move up to 285/75/16 or larger tires.

Just one small spot on the rear of the drivers side fender when the steering wheel is cranked all the way to the left and I go over a curb or someing that height.
It's the plastic trim from the running boards. I'd like to get rid of them but when we take out the in-laws or my 82 year old Mom they need the running boards to get up and in the Runner... I guess I could find a small step stool
or something for those occasions...LOL!!!

My rear lift is a set of old Downey 3.5" coils which are heavy duty. The Toytec 5125 Bilsteins work very well with them.
The thing I like is that ToyTec replaces Bilsteins stock rubber bushings with poly bushings on the coilovers and the 5125's with the eye to stud adapter.

Sweeeeeet. Yeah I'm thinking about ordering the ultimate lift, and getting the 5125's for the rear instead of the pro comps.
