I have a 92 4wd Truck with a 22re, recently I drove across a "puddle" and after I got acrossed I noticed that my truck was not running right. It seem to hesitate and sputter a bit when i gave the truck gas off idle, it also felt like it lacked power. I figured I sucked a bit of water in my intake(k&n cone). After a few minutes of idling the truck seemed normal again. When I got home I put back on my normal airbox setup and went at the puddle again, the exact same thing happened. I dont know if it has anything to do with the intake anymore, just wondering what you guys thing.

Did you take your distributor cap off and check to see if you got water in it?

Sounds like spark plug wires, and always use OEM wires. yeah and check that cap.

Also when checking for water in the Dist. check to see if you still have the rubber gasket that helps seals the Dist. this usally falls off during tune ups or cracks from heat.

Just pulled of the distributor, it looked as if water passed some sort of opening on the cap. It is right below were the wire from the coil goes into the distrubtor. What is this?

Also what is the tube for that goes into the airbox(looks like it comes from the crankcase, or somthing like that) I noticed that it fell off a when I was wheelin, could this cause harm?

It's your crankcase venilation and it can cause problems. Dirt and water can get into your oil. I would change your oil as soon as possible.

I heard you can spray some kind of water replent stuff in you dist. and it makes water have less of an effect on the ignition? Anyone done this? Also anyone know what the little "intake" hole below where the coil wire goes into the distributor?

Only some Dist.caps have that little deal, I believe it's a vent and the way it's designed it shouldn't allow water in unless it becomes submerged. As far as the repelant I wouldn't spray anything in the cap but maybe on the outside.
