Toyota Aftermarket Switch??

Ok. I am looking to hook a couple of large off road lights on the front of my 2000 4Runner. I would like to mount the switch in one of those nice little knockouts in the dash to the left of the steering wheel. My question is, which switch fits best in this square cut out. I remember my dad's 98 Runner had a set of aftermarket fog lights attached to a switch that fit seamlessly in that spot. Does anyone know if Toyota sells a switch specifically made for this location? Or does some aftermarket company make a switch that fits in here?? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You can get a switch thats for like factory fogs IIRC, you'll have to search for the thread that has pics and part numbers...

You don't have the wiring specs on that switch do you? The factory one next to the Diff Lock.

The back of the factory fog switch, I was wanting to know what prong was ground, hot and relay/fog but I found it and with the light at the top of the switch they go in the order I just stated.
Thanks, the search took forever b/c it's not just spelled out somewhere. I may submit it to the "All mods that can be done to a 3rd Gen" post so it's easier to find.

bump... and me too man, i bought a factory fog light switch but it has 4 prongs on it i'd just like to know which ones are whicg, ground, power, relay, ect it has a little plastic housing for the prongs on the back almost like a little relay goes in there or something.... found nothing useful in this .. http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/4Runner/tech/switch/ can post pics of my switch if needed, i believe it may be a fog switch from a newer 4 runner

Will these aftermarket switches fit perfectly in the factory hole(s) in the dash?

just go to oznium.com they have them for scions and they are exactly the same plus the face that they have them in different colors to choose from and just snap in and look completely factory. I use mine for driving lights and another for reverse lights. There only 12 bucks too.

What power source are you guys tapping into to power your factory switches? I tried tapping a couple different fuses but these things pull 20 amps and I keep popping fuses. Help!

wire them up through a relay with the same types of power sources you were trying to use before, you won't have a problem.

Just wire it into the terminal for the switch on the relay you're using to power your lights. I would really recommend using a relay for lights because running 20 amps through your switch could melt it or cause a fire. Even if its rated for the amps, I would be weary to trust it. When u use the relay all of the amperage runs through the relay and the switch only needs like a 3 or 5 amp fuse to keep things safe.

i think i ended up drawing power for the switch direct from the battery, with a 3/5 amp inline fuse...you could probably even get away with no fuse
