Towing with a tranny quirk?
04 taco DCab w/ TRD S/C. About 3 months ago I was romping on the gas when it slammed into second violently throwing me back into my seat. Continued to do so under even medium acceleration until I got home. Oh, As far as I know there in no vb mod. I searched the forums, read it was either the throttle cable or the transmission is internally speared. dropped it off at the dealer, they test drove it and did their "diagnostics" and said there was nothing wrong and I got charged $90. Layed of the gas, put the ECT in Normal and it shift normally. It still happens randomly when I need to get up and go but for the first time it happened while downshifting yesterday with a little hesitation before.
I will be towing my wife's 04 corolla S packed w/ some of our belongings from Virginia to Washington State, should I be worried about the tranny blowing/ losing second gear?

welcome to the world of stupidcharged toyotas and the auto trannys going out. If you had done the Valve Body upgrade from IPT or Level 10, your trans would be fine. Now your looking at a tranny rebuild, but before you do, call the guyes at IPT transmissions and have a chat.
