Hey guys i have 2003 5vz-fe v6 auto 3.4 L double cab tacoma.I got a 24ft travel trailer that weighs 4000lb.I have a brand new weight distribution hitch,new electric brake controller,new anti-sway kit and a new tranny cooler installed.Im planning on towing this trailer for approx.500 kms just like it is EMPTY with about 70miles of steep hilly driving with a few steep grades.Planning on taking it slow as well.My question is that the truck is rated for 5000lb towing capacity,the truck will be empty besides the wife and me, so will i encounter any trouble towing this trailer?Anyone got any helpful tips?Im fairly new to the towing buisness so any helpful info .would be greatly appreciated.Anyone have 03 taco like mine that have towed descent weight with it??Thanks in advance guys..

i think you'll be fine... tow capacity is 5000lbs... you're well within that... looks like you've taken all the necessary precautions... only thing i'd suggest is maybe running heavier duty differential oil, such as redline's shock proof gear oil or something similar, or maybe something synthetic...
