any ideas where and how to mount tow hook on 2003 4runner up front?

i did the same thing and can't find any safe spot for hooks
but you can add a shackle thru the loop and use some recovery strap with that. i've used the loop to strap down someone b4 using the front and it worked well enough. or if u want u can just use the loop w/o the shackle too...
i just hope that arb or tjm will be quick enough to come out w/ their steel bumpers so i can replace my scratched up bumper w some real stuff! lol

I hope they come out with a bumper soon ... I might even order a custom one to get by - ARB didn't sound too optimistic when I emailed them.
Meanwhile I was thinking that we could possibly use the cross member inside our bumper to weld or bolt on some sort of bracket for shackles and just cut out an opening in the bumper so that the shackles stick out right from the front? I think the cross member is tough enough due to it's direct bolt on to the frame.

As much as I would love to get a real steel bumper up front, i'm not that much in a rush to get that upgraded... since even some of the advanced members here don't even have it, i see no need to rush and get one. Plus the front loops are a decent enough point for using it as a recovery location.
There are soo many other mods that I need to do, I'm pretty content at where I'm progressing
In no order of mods I'd like:
> Front Coilover - Downey and King (prob keep both)
> Rear Downey Shock/Coil set
> 285's atleast.... prob some bridgestone duelers m/t
> ATS Upper A-Arms (or Total Chaos?)
> Swaybar Disconnects (home depot time?)
> PanHard Drop Bracket
> Rear Lower Control Arms?
> New Bumpstops...
> Limit Straps..
> Custom Cable Pull Lockers (front/rear)
> new skid plates
> Hi Lift 60" prob (since the recent thread suggests it)
> New CB (fixed) - Uniden PC78LTW or the PC68LTW
> Scanner - Uniden BCT7
> Remove my existing dual 10" JL Box out in favor or something smaller that will take up less space... (prob end up making something utilizing the side cubby pocket)
> Garmin GPS V
> jerry cans (water/gas)
> Dual Battery would be nice
> Lightforce lights
> ARB or TJM Front Bumper
> winch ofcourse
> rear steel bumper?
so I still have a long way to go. Some of these are already available so I'm working towards acquiring all of em... Ebay here I come lol.
I can definitely say yotatech is 500000% responsible for all of these ideas.... damn you guys!!!! lol hopefully my 4runner will be as awesome as some of the other members here!!!! (prob take me atleast 3-5 yrs though.... )
