Torque converter measurement

I was hoping someone could verify the measurement from the bellhousing mating surface to the Torque converter mounting pads with the lugs fully engaged. I came to this forum because I'm using a A340F from a 99 4Runner in a 3.4 swap on my 94 P/U. I sent the trans out to be overhauled and got a replacement torque converter but I'm thinking the trans guy got me the wrong one. In older FSM the dimension callout for a A340F is .787. I'm wanting to make sure it's the same for this 99. The FSM shows a picture of a straight edge along the mating surface of the bellhousing and measuring back to the torque converter. I'm getting approx..550 and when I tried to install the trans there was noticeable resistance when I got to about 1/8 inch of snugging up to the engine.
