Tires,Tires,Tires....

Hey people out there, Ive got a '95 4runner. I need new rubber on it. Im looking at a few different tires, maybe someone could help me out with selecting a good tire.
-BFGoodrich All terrian T/A KO
-Dunlop Rover RV XT
-Bridgestone Dueler
I currently have Perrilli Scorpions on it right and Im looking for the same type of tire, good on the road/highway but also kicks ass in the down and dirty.
thanks
Thor

The BFGoodrich All terrian T/A KO seem to be the number one tire for what you are looking for.

Search. You'll find more info than you'll know what to do with.

If your going to get into any kind of SERIOUS wheeling, then I agree 100%.

If you're not locked and you're going to keep it mild, then check out the Nitto Terra Grapplers. I had some for a while and loved them.

I've got BFG At's on my '95 right now. They're decent all around tires. Not real smooth on the road, but they'll stand up pretty good in the dirt. I hear they're not very good in the wet after they wear down, but mine have been fine so far.

God helps those who help themselves - you gotta at least try man...

1) TireRack's Tire Comparison Chart

2) Jackson's Database of Tire Reviews

3) The ever popular, though dramatically under used, YotaTech Seach Function:

I love my BFG AT KOs. They are great in snow, sand, dirt and wet pavement. They are a little noise, but I haven't rotated them like I should.
Thick mud is not so good but 99% of my travel they are perfect.

I went out on a limb and tried some Firestone Destination MTs and they are just simply outstanding. Aggessive enough for anything, built tough as nails, and still WAY quieter on the highway than the BFGs or GY MTRs. So far, 15k on them and no noticeable wear, either. Have tried over and over to get them stuck in mud or snow, and can't. Oh, and CHEAPER than BFG or MTRs. Just my 2 cents.

I have the Bridgestone duelers AT and love them. They are better than the BFG's that were on before.
