Tierd old runner
Hi every one,
new user to the site. I have a 91 4runner with 380,000km. Things are getting tierd and old. Other than needing body work I find on the highway I have to drop into 4th and 3rd gear alot more to gt up the hills. I know my compression is not as good as it used to be. Is there any good tips out there on how I can spunk her up just a little to get more km out of her. I have done regular servicing on the truck and that is about it. Any suggestions please let me know
Thanks

You might try some oil additives or run a heavier weight oil. If you're in North America, you can try an AutoRX treatment (autorx.com) to see if getting rid of sludge buildup helps. But really, once an engine wears out, it's just worn out and needs a rebuild. No amount of aftermarket stuff is gonna magically heal your engine. You done pretty well with the mileage...now overhaul her and make a few mods, like porting and polishing.
