Its going to be a busy day for me and the 4Runner tomorrow morning, but one of the things Im going to have to do is attempt to install the indiglo gauges. The main question is where did you hook up the positive wire to? Here are the gauges during the day and night

Yeah I did but I didn't want to go all the way to the corner light, is that the only way you can do it?

Mine are tapped into the factory dash lights so they come on with my headlights.

Not sure If you saw my post of my install and pics. I got mine so they are on when ever the key is in the ignition and turned on, its piggy backed on with the AUX fuse with this neat little $8.00 part from Autozone( Littlefuse "Add-A-Circuit") saved cutting into any wires unless you want in on only when the lights are on then you will have to tap into soemthing thats hot when the ligths are on like the parking lights or dash lights. I rather not splice if not needed.
Its has its only fuse and plugs into ur exitising fuse location and allows you to keep that fuse in tack too..

Heh I just installed those exact same gauges today. Got them for $23 on ebay, straight from procarparts.com, don't be stupid and order from their site, they always have austions up. Couple pieces of advice for you, use a dremel on the top of the gauge cluster where the wires connect to the gauge plates. You'll see what I'm tlaking about when you try to lay them flat. I also used a hot glue gun to hold the edges down. Not sure what year you have but on mine the new panel had the brake light third from the left, on my original it is on the far left. Also label says DIFE LOCK instead of DIFF LOCK. I spliced into the dash light hot wire. If you look at the three connectors you take off the back of the cluster, the far left wire of the left connector is green, that's the one that worked for me.

I payed $28 including shipping, how long did it take you guys to install the gauges ?

So look for the left connector and the very last left green wire is the one I go for? The gauges turn on when the parking lights are on or how does it work?

I ran my wires through the holes left by the bulbs i removed. Very tidy, no cutting! Not sure if you can do that on a 3rd Gen!

Took me maybe 1 hour and thats to stop to take the picktures, really a easy mod and as for the unit I just ordered mine from procarparts.com. They have alot of offers on Ebay so if you like to Ebay get the best price there. I'm just not a Ebay kinda guy hehe so just ordered from there web site but the quality is pretty good for the price, but for my 96 the botton strip was a litttle off (like what Wild_Bill said). You can always ops to not install that strip still looks good.

Yep that's it. Helps alot to have a 12v tester (basically a pointy tip screwdriver with a ground clamp and a light bulb in it). Very cheap tool and very handy to have.

As far as recommending the gauges from ebay, as long as you get the ones from procarparts, they will be the exact same ones you get from their site.
