Is there any way to get a 4 link or coil suspension for my pickup(f/r)?
I was wondering if there is any way to get a coil setup instead of leaves on my pickup? I don't care at all about flex at this point, I'm looking for a coil set up front and rear, I have no idea if this is nuts or what? If anyone has any info or any idea why it would or wouldn't work let me know, thanks!

ANYTHING is possible with enough time, determintaion and money.
If you want to make it happen, you could certainly do it. You'd have to fabricate a lot of stuff, but it could be done. Old Hot Rods that were once leaf sprung in the rear, are built all the time using a multi-link coil suspension.

So basically I don't get a nice easy kit, huh? hehe that's great! Well I actually found some help on this one...found a buddy with a welder and some Toyota enthusiasm. Basically I have to design my own rear suspension, huh? The front is obviously more complicated...what with all the turning and so forth going on up there. I will perhaps peruse a book on the subject of suspensions...and bust out the ol' geometry skills hehe. (I got an A- in geometry so I should be set hehe)

Okay so I'm thinking about air bags, I've already decided on a custom setup. For the front I want to custom weld plates on my A-arms. For the rear, I have a few options, full 4 link, brackets with bags only, and last but not least, ladder frame things with bags. I am leaning towards full 4 link, anyone want to talk me out of it?

if you're planning on laying frame. I'd also go with dropped spindles up front and some blocks in the back to decrease the inflated height. Do you have some wheels picked out for this ride yet?

Well I have a 2wd. This kid it town has an '87 with a 2" drop...and it rides the same height as mine does stock, it's already pretty low, I don't really think 2" drop spindles is a good idea, that would give me like...2 more inches to lay frame. I will measure in the morning but I think I only have like...4-5" of ground clearance to begin with.
No I do not have wheels picked out yet, I'm still trying to find some I like. This is a 2wd and there aren't THAT many options. It's a different bolt spacing than the more common 4wd. In terms of size I am looking for a 16 or 17".

For wheels, you have a 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern, fairly common.
I've got these 17" wheels now:
KMC Stealth 17x7
I think I'll be going to a 15" later this year though.
More tire options for what I'm looking for.

Not sure on that one.
I think it's like 4" or so.
I usually look for the "0mm offset" when looking at wheels.
might try a local tire/wheel shop and see what info they have.
