Is there a 3vze expert in the house?

I was replacing my headgasket and when I pulled the intake there was a pool of oil in the middle of the engine where the knock sensor is. I'm still getting an oil/water mixture after the head gasket change. My oil is also real low even after I added more oil. I'm guessing the oil is still leaking out but from where. I just need to know if this could be a cracked block or head or what. Thanx in advanced

IF you fix gasket correctly Then you have a cracked block or head for the water/oil to still be mixing!

Anyone know why there would be so much oil in the middle of the block.

did u replace both gaskets? did u torque the heads correctly in the right order? did u replace the head bolts? if u did all that, it sounds like you have a cracked block, my friend.

yep.I did everthing according to the FSM. I kind of figured the block is cracked cause I couldn't figure how the oil could get in the middle of the block. And yes when you crank it it sounds good except for some vavle tap on the passenger side, nothing major.

i tried a block sealant but it didn't help. I'm swapping a 3.4 in now.

Did you check the heads to see if they are warped?

I haven't checked anything with that engine. I put about $500 in it to do the head gaskets right after I had it for only a few months. Then I decided not to put any more money in it. I'd rather have the 3.4 anyway.
