Thanks
Just want to drop a note to thank all of you for solid advise. I've been lurking for some time, and just registered yesterday. Excellent articles in the tech write-up section, and I've used a few myself already. My '99 4Runner is my second 4Runner, and I really enjoy the vehicle. Just installed BFG AT's last week, and just got back from a 12 hour drive from Utah to Sacramento, almost white-out snow conditions for portions of the drive. 4Runner was a champ. Tires worked great, no slipping and steady as a rock. Never even went into 4wd.
Thanks again, and hope to contribute as time goes on...

You know, the drive wasn't that bad. Just had to keep the speed down and pay attention. Very, very cold though. Outside temp on the dash stayed between 15 and 19 degress for several hours. When I got out to get gas in Wendover, I about froze to death. I've slept in several snow caves and this was crazy. Very high winds, too.

Clean looking Runner you got there!
Glad to hear the trip went well, and I'm also glad to see I'm not the only one that got stuck with the dreaded GOLD package I just haven't hated it enough to get new embelums. Your lucky in that all you have to do is take yours off, mine are drilled in
ps let me know if you want me to make you an avatar, I'd be glad to...
