Tapping into headlights help
I'm wiring up both my fogs and driving lights.... I just want to double check on here! On a 3rd Gen, used Red/Green to tap into for the driving lights(should be brights) and then Red/Yellow for the fogs(dims).... I'd just try it but I've got stuff ripped out at this point and just don't want to have to take it all back out later! Thanks!

That sounds right. Be sure to use 2 relays, though. One for the driving lamps and one for the fogs. The additional lamps will pull too much power and cause your headlights to dim.

Best to test with a volt meter to be sure. Also note, Toyota usually uses a switched ground wiring scheme, vs. the more common swith power scheme. That means that the headlights have constant power supplied and either the high-beam or the low-beam lamp/filament is grounded to turn on the light:

where are you goin to tap into these wires? for my fogs i did use the red yellow wire but i tapped into them under the steering column inside the dash. Would the red green wire down there be the same wire to tap if you were doing it under the dash or right behind the headlight on the wiring harness?
