The only styles I've found specifically say that they won't fit models with the spare pn the back.

Does anybody know of a brand that does? If not I've been thinking of just cutting the top and bottom cross pieces off and capping the ends. Has anyone tried this? Kind of an expensive experiment.

where have you found tail light gaurds for the 2nd gen runners. Let me know please.

I think all tail light gaurds are about the same for the 2nd gens, and if one brand says they won't fit with the spare back there, the others probably won't either.

I ran a set of stainless steel ones from Smittybilt for a few days before I took them off.

Kids were using them for "grab handles" to climb up the rockery behind me

I received them for free, and I gave them away for free also.
The ones I had retailed for around $200 I think.

Runningman, look on Perf's site, they should have them.

I know Smittybilt makes them, do a search on google for their homepage, get the part number and then do a search with that to find some cheaper prices.
