tacoma lift complete

We put on my buddies OME lift today. Only real problem we ran into were seized bolts holding the front of the leafs on, we just cut the heads off and knocked them out. We even used some more ghetto fab, used the highlift and my sliders to press the bushings into the rear shocks, worked awesome. we dont have any real completed shots as it was after dark and we were onthe way to the trails within 5 minutes of bilting it all together. WE also got his TJm bumper on. Here are a few pics, and the rest are here

That's one way to get those OME bushings in
I used my thumbs to push them in, nearly broke my thumbs off in the process.

the Taco belongs to a friend of mine here at school. Yeah, those OME bushings were tough to get in before we thought of the high lift.
here are some pics we jsut took on an Urban RTI ramp behind his apartment.

I sprayed the bushings on the OME stuff with Tri-Flo lube, then just popped them in with a bench vise as a press. Cake.

both bumpers are the TJM-15. there is a big differeence in the mounting brackets, the taco mounts have a neat brace that would offer alot of support if you had to winch from an angle, when i mount my winch i think i might have to make a support like he had.
