Sweet 1995 Toyota Pickup -- I think its a sweet deal? Many Pics
My buddy just baught himself a sweet 1995 4x4 V6 Toyota Pickup (Manual) with camper shell. It is lifted but not sure how much lift. It only has 83,000 miles and well maintained. There are no major visible dents or visual side effects.

It has the following:
Nearly brand new Mickey Thompson Wheels and 35 Mickey Thompson Baja CLaws and Front WARN Hub.
ARB Rear Air Locker with Compressor
|
EXTRAS:
A new sony CD deck
A sweet looking Skid Plate. It weighs a ton but not installed yet.
Anyways, I am trying to help my buddy diagnosed some of the Knick Knacks issue.
1. There is a front shimmy or vibration while going 35 to 40 MPH. The vibration goes away high speed. We have checked the Front
Stabalizer Bar and it looks good (no Leaks or any damaged). I am suspecting its either a bad balanced. Not sure if there are any
busted suspension components such as bushings or rods. I have been told that it can be the bearings, not sure what this means. Anyways,
Can anyone advice. Not sure where to start. I can start with the balance but hoping anyone had similar issues.
2. The ARB Air Compressor is somehow not attached. There are wires coming out of the rear seats. I am not really familiar with the ARB Locker and Compressor. Can anyone advice.
The best thing out of this truck was the PRICE. We got it for $6,500 flat. The previous owner was so gracious to give it to my buddy. There were other buyers willing to pay way more. So if the owner is reading this, THANKS.....
Advices are appreciated.....

nice rig! are those 35 inch tires? the shimmy.... you might need alignment. or check and make sure the tire pressure are the same on both sides.
i have a truck just like that with 35" A/T at the time and it shimmied a LITTLE when i first bought it but got worse as time went by. i brought it to my mechanic a while later for an oil change and he checked the tires and told me the pressure were different on each side. he filled them evenly and my shimmy is gone! i have ZERO shimmying now!
i have a rear arb locker too! mine wasnt functional when i got mine too. the wires were all a mess so i called ARB and asked them if they could send me wiring diagrams. they were happy to email and fax me a nice wiring diagram!
ARB USA: (206) 264 1669
i really like the rig! now i know what mine could look like if i washed and waxed it! mine looks horrid right now. lots of California pin stripping

Just looking at the picture of that IFS front end... would anyone agree those struts look about level with the front brace? is that normal?
edit: now I'm seeing double... I've never see a photo of it before, but by the look of those brackets its got a dropped front crossmember?

It has a dropped front crossmember since it has an IFS lift kit. You can also see the dropped lower bumpstop brackets. Nice rig, but for my money, I will wheel the hell out of mine until I do my SAS in the next few months.
